Private Equities

Since the CPP Investment Board began investing in private equity in 2001, we have committed approximately $36 billion to private equity fund investments, of which more than $27 billion has been invested to date. We currently have a private equity portfolio of 156 funds with 80 managers.

In addition, we continue to grow our principal investment portfolio and have completed over $8 billion in investments predominantly alongside our private equity fund managers.

All private equity investing activities are pursued through our Private Investments department.
